Valentines.

**EXCITING NEWS!!**

Let me just saw that this Valentines Day was by far the best Valentines Day of my entire life!!!!! My day started off by getting a call from Phoebe Putney offering me the job that I have been dreaming of for two years now!! I am now a Child Life Specialist at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital!!! This has been a long waiting game, but I can guarantee you that I learned so much during this time. I learned about patience. I learned a lot about myself.. the good, the bad, and the ugly. I learned to trust God, even when I didn't want to at times. I learned a lot about who my true friends were. I learned how encouragement can be so important in someones life. I learned a lot about prayer. I learned a lot about making the best of things during the waiting period. I learned that God has perfect timing. Words can not express how ready I am to start working with kids in a hospital again. Not only have I missed being able to make a difference in a child's life, but I have missed having the children make a difference in my life. I have missed so much. It still blows my mind to see how the Lord worked every detail out for me, but I will never ever take it for granted. I am blessed to have figured out my calling in life at an early age. I know so many of yall have been praying for me for months, (even years) on how bad I wanted this position at Phoebe. I cannot thank yall enough!! I cannot wait to begin this new chapter in my life!!!

After I got off work, I met up with Anthony...

......AND he surprised me with some diamond earrings!!! I love these earrings so much.. but I love them even more because he picked these out all by himself!! I think I cried because I was so surprised and excited!!!
We were going to try and make a nice romantic meal, but neither one of us know how to cook. So, we went with fried chicken, macaroni, and baked beans! And it could not have been more perfect!!!

Chanel's Birthday!!

February 12, marked Chanel's 5th birthday! I decided to throw her a party since a 5th pretty is pretty special..
I made her a "Bow Wow Bacon Cake" that I found off of pinterest.
All of her presents.
Her cousin Darbi (Brittanys dog) sent her some cookies and a sweet card.

I love this picture!!!
Honey was invited to the party.
 Coco Chanel cookies.
All three of the dogs eating their cake and ice cream.

Chanel was like a little kid when it came time for presents!
 The guests.
 Chanel and Poppy.

 Mimi, Chanel, and Buddy.

I want to thank my friends and family for making this day so special for me and for Chanel. Everyone knows how much I cherish my dog, so I had texts messages, tweets, facebook messages, and phone calls all day long of from friends and family members telling Chanel happy birthday. It sounds silly, but that really meant a lot to me!! I dont remember how to put videos on here, but Poppy even starting off the birthday song to Chanel while she was looking at the candle. He sang "bow wow wow wow to you"... It was hilarious!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHANEL!!!

I had a "day-cation" but I need a vacation..

I had a feeling that I would get very important news last week, so I decided I wanted to get away while I was waiting on "the call". I asked Anthony if I could go down to his beach house for a mini vacation, and he couldnt have been more supportive!! I was planning on going alone, but decided this would be a good time to bond with my future sister-in-law, Brittany.
 Chanel was so excited!
It rained the whole way there, but I kept telling myself that the sun would come out eventually. Well, that did not happen that day!
Chanel and I sat on the balcony just waiting for the rain to calm down.
It never stopped raining, but we decided to go out on the beach anyway!
I found a "doggy" beach where I could take Chanel and let her run around without having to worry about her bothering anyone.
I love that it looks like she is smiling in this picture.

Brittany arrived that night, and we went to eat and came back to watch The Bachelor.
We could not decide on what we wanted to eat, so why not order three appetizers?!
Chanel's friend, Darbi joined her and they were able to play like little kids on the beach together.

 The dogs footprints.

I started off where this picture started. Chanel saw a seagull and took of running into the water. I'm not going to lie.... I was a little frightened that she was going to go too far out or that the current would take her to where I couldnt get to her. She definitely was NOT scared of the water!!

I did not receive the "call" I was waiting for while on this trip, but I'm beginning to think that this trip was for building a relationship with Brittany. I am so thankful that she was able to take off of work and come down to spend some time with me.
